Yet another movie franchise game. I do hope Dreamworks is getting lots of royalties from this game. If not, I cannot fathom a single reason that this game should be developed.

The Video Games Industry is ‘failing women’

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Alas, BBC has struck the story of a lifetime!

The videogames industry is continuing to fail women by not producing suitable content, a senior executive at Electronic Arts (EA) has said.

David Gardner, chief operating officer for EA’s worldwide studios, was speaking to a conference in Edinburgh.

He said: “We have all been talking about this for a long, long time.”

EA’s own research found that 40% of teenage girls played video games versus 90% of teenage boys and most girls lost interest in games within a year.

It’s frightfully true…

Ubisoft said Lethal Alliance players must take advantage of each character’s unique strengths to progress–the ultimate goal being the theft of the Death Star’s blueprints. There is no word yet, however, on how many Bothan spies must die for players to accomplish the mission. Rianna and Zeeo will travel to a variety of locations in that galaxy far, far away, including the Death Star itself, the Skywalker home base Tatooine, and Alderaan, before its Death Star destruction in A New Hope. Lethal Alliance will include a multiplayer mode, but Ubisoft declined to announce its details.

An introduction to Bleach (anime)

Bleach follows the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and a shinigami (literally god of death), or Soul Reaper in the English manga, named Rukia Kuchiki, who runs into him one day while searching for a hollow (an evil spirit). During the ensuing confrontation with the spirit, she is wounded and forced to transfer all of her powers into Ichigo. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia begin. Together they search for hollows and perform soul burials on wayward souls, cleansing the spirits and sending them to Soul Society.
