600k Wii Units Sold

November 28th, 2006 by Kit Allen

Wii is everywhere

That’s right kids, the Nintendo Wii has sold over 600,000 units eight days since its US launch. That’s around one a second. The Wii has already established itself as a $190 million dollar business in the Americas.

More than 75% of hardware purchasers have also grabbed a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. That’s over 454,000 copies of the game.

The Wii is off to a flying start, and less than two weeks until its Europe and Australian release. Will the Wii continue to sell well until christmas?

Not long till the international release. If the Wii sells in Japan like the DS does, and the success if replicated the world around, the number of Wii\’s will be extroadinary.
