Mortal Kombat Kontrols

Mortal Kombat Armageddon for the Wii was announced in the last week. Already, Kotaku has recieved some ‘friend of a friend who dices prunes for a guy who is the cousin of a developer’ rumours about the game.

The basic “concept” is that the Wiimote will control arm actions, while the Nunchaku will take on leg actions.

Prince of Persia on Wii

A french website detailing the Ubisoft announcement of seven launch titles, has revealed that Ubisoft are going to develop and release a version of Prince of Persia for the Wii. The reported release date is in March 2007. The translation is a little off, you canj view the translated page here.

Prince of Persia® will leave as for him on Wii in March 2007 and of many plays are in addition development for the new console.

Electronics Arts has revealed in a conference call that they are looking to boost their Wii and DS involvement.

..we have ramped up production for the Wii and DS Lite..

Furthermore, an EA representative let slip a tidbit of information regarding pricing for games. Producers can set their own prices on games, but Nintendo has indicated a $49.99 price will be the maximum for first part developers. Whether EA and other game companies such as Ubisoft follow suit is another question.

GameCube Recycling on the Wii

While it hasn’t been confirmed by the big bosses at Nintendo, the word on the street is - ‘The Wii will feature four game controllers’ and not to mention - ‘Any peripherals that were purchased for the GameCube will work with the Wii!’

Thus, if virtual console kicks off, you will be able to play retro games in retro style! Not to mention, GameCube games WILL be compatible with the Wii.

Snake creator makes Super Smash Level

If you want to talk about something big, how about the news Hideo Kojima, Snake’s creator, is designing Snake’s level in Brawl? Snake’s inclusion means we’re not only getting one of the best characters in gaming, but one of the best developers as well.
