Extreme Virgin Kuwait Wii Prices

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

Rather Expensive Toys

Feeling a hole in your pocket from all the extra Wii accessories? Well feel bad for Kuwaiti’s, prices for a Nintendo Wii from a Virgin Megastore are more than you’d expect to pay for a USD. And a window clean from the college guy at the lights on the way home from the store.

Virgin is charging a massive 299KD for a Nintendo Wii. That’s a little over one thousand US dollars. An additional Wiimote and Nunchuk? Will set you back a cool $155 USD each. Yep, you could buy a Nintendo Wii in most countries for the price you pay in Kuwait for a single controller set.

Parents Hot Footing Over Wii Porn

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

The return of the bright red text
For Laurn Schroeder, protecting her first grade girls is a priority. “[They’re] innocent, and we want to try and keep them that way,” she said.

But maybe not so innocent…

But because the Wii, the PS3 and other game consoles have Internet access, it’s easy for kids to access porn.

It’s easy to avoid porn as a kid these days. Heck, thanks to proxies with inbuilt nanny systems and sites such as Yahooligans!, showing your children an internet without pornography is easy-cakes.

Lady, supervise your children when they are in a situation where they might access foul materials, and you will be all set for a family friendly Wii web browsing experience.

No its not an unlicensed Mission Impossible game, it’s a remake of a classic Commodore 64 game that goes by the same name. Ports of the game have already appeared on a plethora of old-skool game consoles, including the Atari 7800, NES and the Sega Master System.

The game is also reported to be flying onto the PS2 and the Nintendo DS.

Look At MOH Vanguard!

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

All the smart cookie developers are waiting for Metroid to be released to see how FPS’s will work on the Wii. Sure, Red Steel ahd an enjoyable stab in the dark at setting up the FPS genre for the Wii, but all-in-all, it sucked balls compared to what Wii owners expect from a properly designed FPS.

Luckily, while other developers are hanging back to perfect great games and learn from the experiences of others, EA has the grunt and the financial backing to jump right into the Wii FPS scene. They will be releasing the first Medal of Honour game for the Wii, Vanguard. If you want to play Vanguard using a controller that the game dynamics are designed for, you will have to purchase the sister-launch PS2 version.

Oh we miss you

So far, the game looks average, but reads terrific. Bad Wii FPS memories aside, the information about Vanguard is promising and exciting. EA describes gameplay as stepping..

…into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you’ll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America’s first paratroopers into heroes of WWII.

Please, please PLEASE be quality!

It’s time to burn some nasty Nazi’s using a wide variety of authentic weaponry. Each mission is based on historically recorded data, to provide an aggressive history lesson whilst you play.

EA promises that as the first Medal of Honour game on the Nintendo Wii, Vanguard will take full advantage of the Wii’s unique control system.

Provided the vanguard developers stick to simple, quality controls and exciting gameplay, Vanguard may be able to create a stable stepping stone for consumers interest between Red Steel and the eventual release of Metroid.

Kill the Twilight Princess Postie

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Sick of the Postman in Twilight Princess? Well finally you can kill the bastard. That’s right folks, its time to own a random NPC. Method used to kill the wandering irritant? Make him fall into an incredibly deep pit. Its crafty and invokes at one point a one frame per second side effect, but it is totally worth it.

Bowling the Perfect Wii Sports Game

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Somehow I think that taking this guy on at Wii Sports bowling might be a little frustrating. Partly because he plays on a CRT, but mostly because he can bowl a perfect 300. That’s twelve strikes in a row. Sheesh.
