See this delightful plastic condom/cover for the Wiimote? It’s costing Nintendo over $20 million USD to send out free to all who request. But don’t worry about the company, Reggie is more than happy for Nintendo international to take the hit; and is not worried in the slightest about the news.

I could never figure out why the controller was designed to slip out of the hand so easy. I mean, all that talk about innovation and a new way to play games and not one of the designers thought, ‘hey, this thing needs a better grip’.
Well done to Nintendo for giving it out free, though - and I agree they should pay.

You can’t be serious. Next thing you know, they’ll be giving a warning label to wear a helmet while playing.

Nintendo can take a hit of 20 million compared to the money they’re making off of the wii and ds. I personally like the classic nintendo games better. I have a blog review about old nintendo games at http://classicvideogamereviews.blogspot.com/
But not enough people request the controller sleeve for nintendo to take a huge hit though.

it’s a small price to pay for good PR, making your fanbase even more loyal, and avoiding potential lawsuits.
nice work, nintendo.

I see nothing wrong with spending $20,000,000 on a bunch of controller condoms. We all have to be safe, right? Great idea. PositionMakers.com Posts on Nintendo.

It´s a great idea from Nintendo, and a “cheeper solution”.

man, I ordered these things but never, ever use them. I actually feel kind of bad about waisting N’s money haha

It is good they gave them away free but it made my charging station useless. I found one from Teknocreations that states it will work with the skins on. Has anyone tried one yet?

I guess its a bit thoughtful and business savvy of them, considering the number of people purchasing the Wii console I guess it makes some difference

Seriously, if you’re slinging that wiimote around so hard it flys out of your hand and smashes your new tv.. LOL!
I was totally stoked for Super Smash Bros. Brawl before it came out. All I could picture was four people in the living room beating the crap out of each other with wiimotes! ..But alas!.. You just use the buttons.. how non-destructive. : (
