Nintendo Accused of Stealing Wiimote

December 9th, 2006 by Kit Allen

ZOMG! It can do powerpoint presentations!

California based company Interlink Electronics has filed a complaint against Nintendo of America, with an accusation of patent infringement. The Wiimote is compared with US Patent No. 6,850,221 (Trigger Operated Electronic Device).

The company is looking for a settlement that covers “loss of reasonable royalties, reduced sales and/or lost profits as a result of the infringing activities.”

I wonder if PowerPoint clicker sales went down after the Wii was released?
