November Belonged to Nintendo
December 9th, 2006 by Kit AllenIn the November NPD video games sales report, Nintendo dominated. Nintendo sold 55% of all video game consoles during the first month in which all three new home consoles were available.
The study also revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was sold to 87% of Wii purchasers. This was highest industry rate of sale for any launch title since introduction of Super Mario 64 on the N64.
US buyers also purchased approximately two games for each console sold in the US. These figures do not include the pack-in game, Wii Sports.
