So you’ve decided to buy a Wii?
October 2nd, 2006 by Kit AllenRight now there are three players in the console game, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. While Sony has been more or less making the rules of the game and beating up the other players on the field for the better part of ten years, Microsoft seems set to edge them off the top of the hill – all depending on how receptive the gaming public is to Sony’s new machine that – even months before its suggested launch date – has been fraught with issues.
In the meantime, Nintendo has steadily slipped from its kingly position to the subterranean sewers of Mario World, sinking down the pipes with judgmental errors in the shape of the N64 and Game Cube. The company would have to do some things very differently if it hopes to regain any of its former glory.
