Wireless Nunchuk So Not Happening
January 7th, 2007 by Kit AllenA *hic* reporter at Verdicts.co.uk claims that ‘An unconfirmed source has revealed that Nintendo are currently working on a wireless version of their Nunchuck attachment for the Wii remote.‘
Nintendo may have a few issues with the Wii, but for the most part, they analyzed the Wii and removed safety hazards. A second wireless controller? The mere thought of it screams, “LAWSUIT! LAWSUIT!” Without a doubt, the Nunchuk would be much easier to throw than the Wiimote.
The only feasible way Nintendo could release a wireless Nunchuk would be to tether the Nunchuk to the players hands. Impracticality is a console-killer.
